Our consultation, procedure review, pre-audit readiness, and custom curriculum mapping services are delivered by a currently practicing NDT Level III in shipbuilding and fabrication. We describe credentials by sector and current practice rather than by individual name to keep engagements scoped and confidential. If you require a named Level III for a specific deliverable — for example, a procedure signature — we identify the assigned Level III in the engagement contract before any work begins.
Industry reach beyond shipbuilding: our Level III oversight model is designed to support employer-based qualification programs in fabrication, in-service inspection, oil and gas, power generation, and structural welding contexts. We anchor everything to SNT-TC-1A as the recommended-practice baseline and map to other code references (AWS D1.1, ASME Section V, API 1104, ANSI/ASNT CP-105-2024) on a per-engagement basis.
What “Aligned” Means
Recommended Practice Framework
SNT-TC-1A is a recommended practice published by ASNT defining a framework for in-house personnel qualification and certification. The certifying authority is the employer’s qualified Level III — not a third-party platform.
Topical Outlines
Course content references the ANSI/ASNT CP-105-2024 body-of-knowledge topical outlines so your training-hour record and exam content map cleanly to recognized guidance.
Final Certification
Final certification of personnel, acceptance of indications, and release of inspection reports remain the responsibility of the employer’s qualified Level III in accordance with the employer’s written practice.
Independence
Applied NDT is not affiliated with ASNT. Our courses are aligned to SNT-TC-1A; we do not issue ASNT certifications and we do not represent ourselves as an ASNT-recognized program.
Continuing Education (PDH)
Our courses are designed to support documentation of professional development hours (PDH) for engineering license renewal. Final acceptance of self-reported PDHs depends on your state licensing board’s rules. We do not represent our courses as accredited continuing-education credit unless explicitly stated for a specific course.
